Promotional Details

The Promotional Details page is where you can find information about an existing Promotion and the Reusable records associated with it.

To view Promotional Details:

  1. Click the Promotions icon at the top, left-hand corner of any page in LibraryAware.
  2. Click View Promotion beneath the Promotion you would like to view.
  3. From the menu on the left, select Promotional Details

This will take you to the Promotional Details page, where you can view and edit the Name, Description, Audience, Promotion Category (e.g. Event, Books), Default Branding, and Headline. Click Save Changes to keep any changes, or Cancel Changes to discard them.

Beneath the Promotional Details section, you’ll find a list of Reusable Records used in the Promotion. Once you have created an Item for an event, book, or e-resource related to a Promotion, information will be saved as a Reusable Record. This allows you to easily insert information for that event, book, or e-resource into any other Items in that Promotion.

The following Event Information can be edited in the Reusable records section of the Promotional Details page:

  • Event Title
  • Type of Event
  • Event Description
  • What's in it for them?
  • Event Date and Time
  • Event Running Time
  • Event Location
  • Event Cost
  • Event Age Group
  • Event Call to Action
  • Registration Information
  • Additional Information
  • Speaker Name
  • Registration Link
  • Image
The Book Information that can be edited here includes:
  • Book Title
  • Book Author
  • Book Annotation
  • What's in it for them?
  • Book Jacket URL
  • Call Number
  • ISBN
  • UPC
The E-resource Information cannot be edited at the Promotional Details page.  It must be edited by an Administrator at the E-Resources page under the Admin section.

Once you have edited the Reusable record, click Save Changes to keep your edits.

Edits made at this page will not be applied to existing Items within that Promotion. However, these edits will apply to any Items created after the changes are made.  For example, if you change the Event Date at the Promotional Details page, any new printable Items created within that Promotion will contain the new date. However, you will need to manually update any existing Promotional Items.
