How do I add a link to an item?

These instructions apply to templates that use the Lists editor, as well as emails and newsletters.

In templates that use the Lists editor, it’s easy to add a link to a book in your catalog, an e-resource, an uploaded file, a custom URL, or to an email address.

Before you can link to a book in your catalog, your LibraryAware Administrators must add the Catalog Link Formats to the Basic Settings page (under the Admin section).  Also, before you can link to an e-resource, your Administrators must add the link prototypes for the e-resource to the E-Resources page.  Please make sure to test all catalog and other links before publishing or sending your item.

To add a link:

  1. Highlight the text you want to link or place your cursor where you want the link.
  2. From the formatting toolbar that displays at the top of the editor, click the Add/Edit Link button.
  3. The Add/Edit Link window will display.
