How do I adjust settings that apply to an entire e-blast in the Drag & Drop Email Editor?

NOTE: Our templates already have Appearance styles set by our designers for a great look, so no need to adjust them unless you’d like to.

GENERAL SETTINGS


Message width: By default, the message width is 610px (pixels). You can set this to any size between 320px and 900px.

Pro tip!  610px is the standard and most optimal email width. 



Default padding:
Padding refers to the margin around Blocks of content in a Structure. Use the + and controls to adjust the padding for all edges.

To adjust the padding for each edge separately, click More to toggle on.



General background color: Use this option to set the background color of the entire e-blast. To change the background color, click the color box. Enter a color hex code, use one of the preselected colors, or use the Color Picker.



Font: Use the drop-down to select a font for all text in the e-blast.



Line spacing: To select line spacing for the text in the e-blast, click the corresponding line spacing icon – tight, single, 1.5, or double.



Paragraph bottom space: To include a space after each paragraph in the e-blast, click to toggle on.



Underline links: Links are underlined by default. Click to toggle off.



Responsive design: This option may improve the way your email displays on mobile devices, but keep in mind, results may vary among devices. If this control is disabled, your email's mobile and desktop versions will look the same.



RTL text direction: Text direction is left-to-right by default. Click to switch text direction to right-to-left.



Background image: *Feature in development. Check back for updates. 


STRIPES


Think of a Stripe as a section. Each Stripe may contain many Structures. In turn, a Structure can include many Containers that you fill with Blocks of content. 



NOTE: Our templates use only the Content Stripe; the others are automatically set to use your branding.



Header: Do not use. Headers have been automatically set to contain your branding block.



Content:  



  • Text size: Use the drop-down to set a text size for all Text Blocks within the Content Stripe.
  • Paragraph bottom space: To include a space after each paragraph in the Content Stripe, click to toggle on. The bottom space will be applied to all line breaks and numbered and bulleted lists within the Content Stripe.

  • Bottom space: Use the + and controls to adjust the size of the Paragraph bottom space. The bottom space will be applied to all line breaks and numbered and bulleted lists within the Content Stripe.

  • Content background color: Click the color box to change the background color of content Blocks within the Content Stripe. Enter a color hex code, use one of the preselected colors, or use the color picker.

    Pro tip! Think high contrast when choosing colors for your text and backgrounds. Test out color combinations with an online contrast analyzer like Contrast Checker.

  • Font color: Click the color box to set the font color for text within the Content Stripe. Enter a color hex code, use one of the preselected colors, or use the color picker.

  • Link color: Click the color box. Enter a color hex code, use one of the preselected colors, or use the Color Picker. 


Footer: Do not use. *Footers have been automatically set to contain your branding block.



Info area: *Feature in development. Check back for updates.



HEADINGS


Headings and subheadings visually convey levels of importance. Differences in text styles, sizes, colors, etc., guide readers through your message in a logical way.

Set the default font style (including size, color, bold, and italics) for H1 (large title), H2 (medium title), and H3 (subtitle) headings.

BUTTON


The Button menu makes it easy to create default settings for all the buttons in your e-blast at one time. 



Highlight hovered buttons: This feature highlights the buttons in your email when the reader hovers over them. Some people use it to draw particular attention to a button. Click to toggle on.



Support of Outlook: This option ensures the most accurate display of your buttons in MS Outlook email clients by inserting a special VML-code element. When this option is activated, the email message size can be increased to 1KB for each added button. By default, this is toggled on. Click to toggle off.



Button color: Click the color box to set your default button color. Enter a color hex code, use one of the preselected colors, or use the Color Picker. 



Font color: Click the color box to set your default button font color.

Pro tip! Think high contrast when choosing colors for your buttons and button text. Test out color combinations with an online contrast analyzer like Contrast Checker.



Text style: Use the drop-downs to select the style and size of your buttons. Click the icons to choose bold and italics.



Border radius: The border radius is the rounding of the edges of the button. To adjust the border radius, use the + and controls or enter a numerical value.



Border: Use the + and controls to adjust the size of your button border. Use the drop-down to select a border style. Click the color box to set the border color.

To adjust each border edge separately, click More to toggle on.



Internal padding: Padding refers to the margin around images or text. Use the + and controls to adjust the padding between the text and edges of the button.

MOBILE FORMATTING


The default values for the desktop version of emails are used for mobile view. If you wish to change these values, you can do so in the Mobile Formatting section of the Appearance tab.
