Promotional Reports

The Promotional Report can be found under a Promotion.  Only items and information within that Promotion will appear in the report.

To view the statistics and metrics for a Promotion or your Items within a Promotion: 

  1. Click the Promotions icon at the top, left-hand corner of any page in LibraryAware. 
  2. Click View Promotion beneath the Promotion. 
  3. From the menu on the left, select Promotional Reports.
  4. The Promotional Report will provide you with an Overview for your Promotion and statistics on the various Item types/delivery channels in your Promotion.  See below for more information on the report.
    Note: You can export any tab of the Promotional Report by using the Export Current Tab to CSV button.

Filtering your Promotional Report:

  • Starred/All – View statistics for only those Items that you have starred by clicking Starred.  Or click All to view statistics for all items.
  • Created By – If you want to only view statistics on Items created by one user, use the drop-down to select the user’s name.  
  • Date Range – Select a beginning and end date for the publication date range (or creation date for Print Items).  Click Update once your date range has been selected.

Use the tabs at the top of the page to view specific statistics for your delivery channels:

Overview Tab
The Overview tab will give you a high-level overview of your Promotion.  You will see:

  • Number of users reached through email communications and widgets
  • Number of clicks on link across all delivery channels
  • Number of items posted to social media (Twitter or Facebook)
  • Number of print items created
At the Email tab you will find all metrics on the emails you have sent from this Promotion (in the specified date range):
  • Number of subscribers that your emails were sent to within the selected date range 
  • Percentage of unique opens
  • Percentage of unique views
  • Total number of clicks
  • Percentage of subscribers that first opened the email on a phone
  • Percentage of subscribers that first opened the email on a desktop or tablet
Below the Email Overview, you will find a list of each email sent during the selected date range.  You can click on any column to sort by that column.  For each email, you will see:
  • Name of the e-blast
  • Number of subscribers your email was sent to.
  • Date the email was sent.
  • Unique Opens within the selected date range:
    • The number of unique subscribers that opened the email.
    • The percentage of subscribers that opened the email.
    • Which subscribers opened the email and how many times the subscriber opened it. (See this list by clicking the number link from the Unique Opens column.  You can also see when a subscriber opened the email by clicking on a subscriber name in the chart.)
  • Unique Views within the selected date range:
    • The number of unique subscribers that viewed the email online.
    • The percentage of subscribers that viewed the email online.
    • Which subscribers viewed the email online and how many times it was viewed.  (See this list by clicking the number link from the Unique Views column.   You can also see when a subscriber viewed the email by clicking on a subscriber name in the chart.)
  • Total number of clicks for the email (click the number link  in the Total Clicks column to view the URLs that were clicked)
  • Number of bounces (click the number link  in the Bounces column to view the email addresses that bounced)
  • Number of unsubscribes (click the number link  in the Unsubscribes column to view the subscribers that unsubscribed)

The Links tab will list statistics for all links, except Mail-to links, across all of your Items in this Promotion.
  • Total clicks on all links, except Mail-to links, within the selected date range
  • Total number of links, except Mail-to links, for the selected date range
For each link, you can view:
  • Name of the Item that included the link.  If it was not an item that was posted to Facebook/Twitter, it will list “Facebook post” or “Twitter post”
  • URL for the link
  • Type of format used for the Item.
  • Date the Item was published
  • Number of clicks on the link
The Widgets tab will list statistics for the widgets in this Promotion.
  • Total number of clicks on all widgets slide, for the selected date range
  • Total views of widget within the selected date range
For each widget slide/post, you can view:
  • Name of the widget slide
  • Name of the widget container
  • Date the widget slide was published
  • Expiration date for the widget slide
  • Number of clicks that occurred within the selected date range on the posted widget. Clicks refer to when a user clicks on a widget slide to access the page that the slide links to.
  • Number of views that occurred within the selected date range on the posted widget. Views refer to when the widget slide is initially loaded and displayed on your website. A view only counts once for the first time the widget slide is displayed on the page. When a widget cycles through to show a slide for a second time, a second view is not counted. When a user clicks away from the website before a slide is displayed, a view will not be counted for that slide.
The Facebook tab will list statistics on all Facebook posts for the selected date range.
  • Total number of Facebook posts
  • Total number of Facebook clicks
For each Facebook post, you can view:
  • Name of the Item that was posted to Facebook.  If it was not an item that was posted to Facebook, it will list “Facebook post”
  • Date of the posting
  • Number of clicks that occurred within the selected date range on the Facebook post.
The Twitter tab will list statistics on all Twitter posts for the selected date range.
  • Total number of Twitter posts
  • Total number of Twitter clicks
For each Twitter post, you can view:
  • Name of the Item that was posted to Twitter.  If it was not an item that was posted to Twitter, it will list “Twitter post”
  • Date of the posting
  • Number of clicks that occurred within the selected date range on the Twitter post.
At the Print tab, you can view a list of all Print items that were created in this Promotion within the selected date range.  From this tab, you can view:
  • Name of the Print Item
  • Type of format used for the Item
  • Date the Print Item was created
  • Name of the user that created the Print Item
