Managing RSS Feed Data Sources

You can add RSS feed content to e-blasts in the Drag & Drop Editor and to e-blasts and newsletters in the Classic Editor. To have this content available, first add the RSS feed as a data source in the Admin section.

Add an RSS Feed Data Source

  1. In LibraryAware, navigate to the top toolbar and select ADMIN. *Only users who are assigned the Adminitrator user role will be able to add, edit, or delete RSS feeds.



  2. In ADMIN, on the left select Asset Management then Data Sources.



  3. Under RSS Feeds click the Create button.

  4. Enter the Name of the feed and Feed URL. The checkbox for Make this RSS feed available for use is checked by default.



  5. Click Save. A confirmation message banner will appear and he new feed will be listed.




Edit an RSS Feed Data Source

  1. In LibraryAware, navigate to the top toolbar and select ADMIN. *Only users who are assigned the Adminitrator user role will be able to add, edit, or delete RSS feeds.

  2. In ADMIN, on the left select Asset Management then Data Sources.  

  3. From the list of RSS Feeds, locate the one you want to edit and select the Edit link.



  4. Make the desired edits.

  5. Click Save.


Delete an RSS Feed Data Source

  1. In LibraryAware, navigate to the top toolbar and select ADMIN. *Only users who are assigned the Adminitrator user role will be able to add, edit, or delete RSS feeds.

  2. In ADMIN, on the left select Asset Management then Data Sources.  

  3. From the list of RSS Feeds, locate the one you want to delete and select the Delete link.



  4. You will be asked to confirm your deletion. Click the Delete button.



  5. A deletion confirmation message banner will appear.



Deactivate an RSS Feed Data Source


If you prefer to keep an RSS Feed but not allow it to be used, you can deactivate it and reactivate it at a future time.
  1. In LibraryAware, navigate to the top toolbar and select ADMIN. *Only users who are assigned the Adminitrator user role will be able to add, edit, or delete RSS feeds.

  2. In ADMIN, on the left select Asset Management then Data Sources.  

  3. From the list of RSS Feeds, locate the one you want to deactivate and select the Deactivate link.

  4. You will be asked to confirm your deactivation. Click the Deactivate button.  The deactivated feed will no longer appear in your active feeds list.



Reactivate an RSS Feed Data Source

  1. In LibraryAware, navigate to the top toolbar and select ADMIN. *Only users who are assigned the Adminitrator user role will be able to add, edit, or delete RSS feeds.

  2. In ADMIN, on the left select Asset Management then Data Sources.  

  3. Under RSS Feeds select the Show Deactivated Feeds checkbox.

  4. From the list of deactivated RSS Feeds, locate the one you want to reactivate and select the Activate link.

  5. You will be asked to confirm your Activation. Click the Activate button. The feed will now appear in your active feeds list.
