Make it Easy to Create

Check staff access

First things first, who’s going to be creating content in LibraryAware? Is it just you, or will others be joining in? Make sure everyone can sign into your library’s account and knows about LibraryAware. Remember, you can invite as many users as you need and even set access levels. So, get inviting!

Create your custom branding

Before you dive into designing, take a few minutes to set up your branding sets. And give your sets a periodic review to keep them current. This will save you time and ensure you’re using the right logos and colors. Make as many branding sets as you need for all the departments, groups, and initiatives in your library.

Upload official library images

Got that stunning picture of your library’s exterior? Don’t let it get lost on someone’s desktop or a thumb drive. Upload all your approved images, templates, logos, and more to LibraryAware. This way, you and other creators can easily access them whenever needed.

Add folders

Whether your library has one location or many, planning ahead will keep your account organized. Use folders to make your account easy to search and maintain.

Check Your Connections

Link to your catalog

Make sure your titles featured in NextReads newsletters and e-blasts automatically link to your catalog. Our Support team initially sets up catalog links, but if your library changes catalogs, you’ll want to update them. Contact us at libraryaware@ebsco.com for help with coding the links.

Promote Your Collection and Connect with Readers

Promote your collection everywhere

The soul of a library is its books, and it's important to remind people of that. Beyond creating various promotional materials like book display signs, bookmarks, reading maps, and booklists, you can also insert collection promotions into your program promotions. For example, if you're making a flyer for a pottery class, why not add a related "Pottery for Beginners" book jacket to the flyer? Think, "If you like this program, you might like this book!" You can promote books practically anywhere.
